I've spent over a decade working across the NHS, local government, higher education and the private sector — not just practising people work, but thinking hard about what it should become. I work with leadership teams navigating real change: the kind that requires strategic partnership at every level, inclusion woven into how organisations operate, and the courage to lead with compassion rather than comfort. I bring the professional rigour of a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and the lived experience of navigating the same systems I help organisations change. Avant People is first and foremost a thought leadership platform, and a consultancy second. Alongside a full-time people leadership role, I work with a small number of organisations each year — those where an experienced, independent perspective can make a genuine difference.
